Development Update at 17 College Crescent – 16/04/15

Planning permission has been obtained to convert the property into a two bedroom flat, a one bedroom flat and nine self contained studio flats.
TSG Building Services started the redevelopment of College Crescent on the 7th April 2015 and have made it a priority to secure the property and comply with all health and safety requirements. An inspection took place today with Balneaves Chadwick Associates, where it was noted that the basement and third floor had been cleared of all partition walls and ceilings. The underside of the roof was in good condition but there were a couple of broken purlins which will need to be replaced. The condition of the roof will only be established once the scaffolding has been erected next week. There will be a possibility of increasing the ceiling height by replacing the ceiling joists on the third floor. We may also be able to increase the ceiling height in the basement by lowering the floor level by 2 inches. Overall TSG have made a good start and a further meeting has been arranged for Thursday 23rd April.
